About Us

About Rowbury

Rowbury has become a leading retailer in the Southwest of England specialising in contemporary coastal artwork, elegant country house style and beautifully curated home interiors. Since opening our first store in Dartmouth in 2010, we have grown into a destination for customers looking for stylish, high-quality artwork, home accessories, gifts and greeting cards at affordable prices.

Contemporary coastal artwork and elegant country house style

Our artwork collections include contemporary coastal art, seascapes, harbour scenes, nautical artwork and poster art to create distinctive interiors inspired by coastal living.  Alongside our coastal collections, we are also known for elegant country house style artwork and interior accessories designed to bring character, warmth and personality to the home, with themes such as Landscapes, Animals, Wildlife, Trees, Meadows and Florals.

Curated artwork, interiors and gifts

Artwork is hand-picked by our in-house sourcing team to curate collections that stand out from the crowd.  We select artwork that is timeless and through creative framing ensure it fits perfectly with today's interior design.

Our story: established in Dartmouth in 2010

Rowbury was founded in 2010, with the first shop opening the same year in Dartmouth selling beautiful artwork from our talented group of artist, many of whom are still firm favourites with our customers.  Along with our other retail outlets we have the website www.rowbury.co.uk supplying contemporary coastal and elegant country house inspired artwork and interior accessories, reflecting life lived by the sea and on the edge of the moors.

Quality, style and value

Creating our own look is something we have focused on since the beginning, from considered paint choices for our retail store fronts and walls to the way we dress the retail space.  We work with manufacturers to create exclusive mouldings, using bespoke colours and finishes, that reflect interior design trends and match the Rowbury look.  Because of the way we source, we can create high-end gallery quality artwork without the high-end price tag.  In our stores we receive so many compliments each day, on the look, feel and quality of the product and how items are grouped together.

From the coast to the country and everywhere in between

It is the finishing touches that transform a house into the home that you and your family love and art is a great way to introduce colour and set the vibe/mood for a space, it can be light and fun or dark and thought provoking.  As Picasso once said, "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" which is in the forefront of our minds when speaking with artists and sourcing new work.
